Congratulations to Dr. Ghayah Bahatheg on Her Latest Publication

Ghayah Publication October 2025

We're thrilled to congratulate Dr. Ghayah Bahatheg on her latest publication titled "Antibacterial peptidomimetics based on guanidine-functionalized di-tertiary amides" in RSC Medicinal Chemistry!

This groundbreaking research presents a new class of antibacterial peptidomimetics that combine the stability of peptoids with the membrane-targeting properties of guanidine groups. The study demonstrates potent activity against key bacterial pathogens including S. aureus, E. coli, and P. aeruginosa, with some molecules also capable of disrupting persistent bacterial biofilms. Importantly, the most active compounds were found to be non-toxic at effective concentrations, making them promising candidates for therapeutic applications.
