We're thrilled to congratulate Ghayah Bahatheg and all co-authors on the publication of a new paper in RSC Advances!
What if we could keep everything that makes antimicrobial peptides powerful, and lose what holds them back?
That's the promise of peptoids. They mimic how natural antimicrobial peptides attack bacteria, but their modified backbone makes them much harder for enzymes to break down.
The article, Recent progress in the structure-activity relationship of antibacterial peptoids, surveys recent advances in that design space, bringing together structure-activity insights that will help guide the next generation of antibacterial peptoid scaffolds.
